Fuel & Risk Management Analytical Tools

Comparative Analysis
Compare any 2 locations and price components over a 120-day timeframe. Through a front-end wizard, users can select 2 criteria to compare, pricing for those criteria, and a date range. (For example, compare the retail price between 2 truckstops over the last 45 days.) Once displayed, you can graph the data for trend analysis.

Export Data To Spreadsheets & Databases
For more sophisticated users who want to maintain their own historical files of diesel market events, perform additional offline analysis, chart, graph or recalculate data, there is an Export feature. Use it to download fuel price information into your own spreadsheet and database programs.

Perform Basis Opportunity Study
The variance between rack (wholesale) and futures prices of the same commodity can also be studied on the cash (spot) vs. futures market level. This variance will also show time, quality and location differences on intermediary markets against futures economics.

Analysts can use the difference between two figures (rack vs.NYMEX, for distillate or gasoline product) as the basis value and compare that value to the zero (or buy/sell) line. That helps determine buy or sell market opportunities against current or historical price levels.

View NYMEX, Rack, Spot, And Retail Pricing
Analyze all levels of the petroleum price market to better position yourself for buy/sell opportunities. We can provide NYMEX, spot, rack and retail price information for diesel and gasoline so you can perform price analyses and make higher quality risk management and trade decisions.
